About Luxoft STEM Career Day
Helen Stewart, HR Operations Director Western Europe at Luxoft, has over 15 years of experience in the field of human resources, with a certificate in leadership and management. Helen started in her present role at Luxoft 2 years ago as the HR director for a group of countries in Western Europe. Over the last years, she has helped the team introduce a diversity policy, regional leadership academies, and apprenticeship programs. In addition, she was a key organizer of STEM Career Day, an event by which children could discover career opportunities in our wide and growing field.
Adenike Ojo, Solicitor (UK Legal Department), brings more than 15 years of experience with more than 7 of those at Luxoft. Here she qualified as a solicitor and has been working in her current role for over 2 years advising on commercial contracts, information law, computer and IT law and employment law. Since joining Luxoft she has lead on many D&I initiatives, providing work experience placements for students in partnership with Inspire (an education charity), created and assisted in the implementation of global D&I policies and unconscious bias training, organised the first Black History Month (UK) event, the first round table discussion which included Luxoft clients for Diversity Week, with her colleague Tina Shata devised and delivered successfully the first Luxoft STEM Career Day (which was replicated internally as a virtual event for students in Western Europe) illustrating that there is a space for ALL in STEM. In her spare time, Adenike is on the board of Hackney Community Law Centre which serves residents by providing legal services, she is a mentor volunteering for the charity MDS (Mothers, Daughters, Sisters) and has a keen interest in space law.
